At Novonesis, we're looking for a Senior Principal Innovation Project Manager to lead complex innovation projects that bring new solutions to market and create value for customers and society.

You will join the Innovation Project & Portfolio Management (IPPM) organization, where we drive strategic innovation initiatives across industries. In this role, you will work at the intersection of science, technology, and business, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to ensure our innovation pipeline delivers meaningful outcomes.

The Role & Your Impact

In this role, you will lead complex cross-functional New Product Development (NPD) initiatives. You will set project direction, align stakeholders around common goals, and ensure projects deliver on business objectives, customer needs, and strategic priorities. You will join the Food and Beverages team, where collaboration, inclusivity, and knowledge sharing are at the heart of how we grow together.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead complex innovation projects from initiation to execution, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives, scope, timelines, milestones, costs, and business outcomes.
• Develop and maintain project plans, business cases, risk assessments, and product development roadmaps while continuously evaluating project value, risks, and assumptions.
• Build, coach, and lead high-performing cross-functional teams, facilitating effective decision-making, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
• Align project teams, governance forums, and stakeholders to ensure strategic focus, project progression, and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as a role model for Novonesis’ culture, innovation framework, and project management excellence, while supporting portfolio management and prioritization activities when relevant.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

• Ph.D. or M.Sc. within Science, Biotechnology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven strong experience leading complex cross-functional innovation or product development projects in a global environment.
• Proven strong project management capabilities, including planning, risk management, and decision-making.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across organizational levels.
• Strategic and customer-focused mindset with the ability to build high-performing teams and translate business needs into value-creating solutions.

Additional Skills & Interests We Value

While not required, it would be advantageous if you have:

• Experience working within food industries.
• Portfolio management experience within innovation-driven organizations.
• Coaching, mentoring, or training experience within project management disciplines.
• Passion for continuous improvement and innovation excellence.
