The Test Solutions Center delivers advanced, fully integrated test systems that support the complete lifecycle of Raytheon’s RF-based products. Our team designs, develops, and deploys production ready and laboratory test solutions that ensure performance, reliability, and compliance across a wide spectrum of radar, electronic warfare, communications, and sensor technologies.
By combining deep engineering expertise, scalable system architectures, and rigorous verification practices, we enable high confidence product validation and efficient manufacturing throughput. The Test Solutions Center partners closely with program teams, factories, and engineering organizations to provide mission ready test capabilities that keep Raytheon’s RF systems performing at their best.
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time position of Senior Principal Test Systems Engineer located onsite in Goleta, California. What You Will Do
Guide system level test setup and operation across different environments within development and/ or production of Test Engineering
Work across multi-disciplined groups of engineers leading design, development and/or integration of test equipment
Lead the functionalities of Test Systems Engineering for both hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production, manufacturing, product qualification environments
This position is 100% ONSITE in Goleta, CA.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience leading Test Systems Engineering
Experience leading the functionalities of Test Systems Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience for both hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production, manufacturing, product qualification environments
Experience with leading design, development and/or integration of test equipment
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Organizational, coordination, planning, and teaming skills, as well as written and oral communication skills
Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
Experience with equipment rack assembly, cable assembly/installation, electronics maintenance, data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers
Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers
Experience leading multi-disciplined teams
Experience with Agile Process, Agile Methodologies and gate reviews
Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
