We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Principal Contracts Administrator to oversee and manage complex R&D and commercial contracts, to include software licensing agreements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable regulations, as well as expertise in negotiating and managing intellectual property rights, software licenses, and technology-related agreements. This role is critical to ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and driving successful contract execution in support of our government and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management:
    • Lead the negotiation, administration, and management of R&D contracts, software licenses, and technology-related agreements.
    • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
    • Draft, review, and revise contracts, subcontracts, and licensing agreements to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Risk Mitigation:
    • Identify and mitigate contractual risks, including intellectual property rights, licensing terms, and regulatory compliance.
    • Provide guidance on contract terms and conditions to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Work closely with program managers, legal counsel, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless contract execution.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for government contracting officers and other external partners.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
    • Monitor contract performance and deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Training and Mentorship:
    • Provide training and mentorship to junior contracts staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management, with a focus on R&D contracts and software licenses.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other federal contracting regulations.
  • Proven experience negotiating intellectual property rights and software licensing agreements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to pass a government background security investigation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and written, with both internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and work collaboratively with team members, manage in high-stress situations, and prioritize workload.
  • Experience working with Firm-Fixed Price, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, and Time-and-Material type contracts.
