You will join our Rail team

As our new Catenary Engineer/ OH Engineer/ OL Engineer you will be part of a world class,

innovation driven engineering design center owned by an independent trust and its

employees. You will collaborate with your colleagues to play a critical role in delivering on

projects that involve multiple clients in countries across Europe, primarily in Germany. REC is

a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in

Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll

Engineering Centre (REC) is a center for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions

to the rest of the organization.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be

• Carry out Catenary/ Overhead Electrification line designs and provision of technical support throughout to support all stages of design
• Independently deliver / manage the production of design deliverables in accordance with client requirements
• Review the work of less experience engineers and CAD technicians in the team and maintaining quality of deliverables
• Overseeing and guide the CAD and Jr engineers in carrying out the design and preparation of the drawings
• Keep up to date with industry best practice and where appropriate apply best practice within the team environment
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision

Requirements
Software’s Required – OLAcad, AutoCAD
Experience Required - 10-12 Years
Location – Gurugram
Language - German language professional working proficiency (Level B1/B2)

We are looking for self-motivated team members who meet the following requirements:

• BE/B. Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from an institute of repute. ME/ M. Tech would be desirable
• Should have 10-12 years of experience in design of Catenary masts, cantilevers, spacings, wire tensions, etc
• Rail and Catenary design domain knowledge and well conversant of German rail design codes and other international standards would be desirable. Good knowledge in mechanics and mathematics is desirable
• Have hands on experience in using OLAcad software
• Should have solid knowledge of tools like AutoCAD and preparing drawings in accordance with internationally recognized standard formats
• German language professional working proficiency (Level B1/B2) is required
• Understanding of multi-discipline railway design interfaces
• Have technical / functional acumen, he should have good communication skills and should be able to present their work
• Should be a good team member, self-motivated and should coordinate with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery of project
• Good communication skills (English language skills in written and verbal) and the ability to work within a small team whilst having a dedicated approach to working within and meeting strict project deadlines
