Job Description

As part of the Infrastructure Tools Development Platform Engineering and AI Operations team, you will lead the design, automation, security, and operational excellence initiatives for large-scale cloud-native infrastructure and mission-critical applications running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

This role will help define and evolve the organization’s cloud platform engineering, security, identity management, and AI-enabled operational strategy. You will architect and manage scalable, secure, and highly automated cloud environments while driving modernization across infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, IAM, cloud security, compliance, and operational workflows.

The role requires strong hands-on expertise in DevSecOps, cloud-native platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, observability, cloud security, identity and access management, and AI-enabled engineering workflows. Experience integrating Generative AI, AI agents, coding copilots, reusable AI Skills/workflows orchestration, MCP-based integrations, and intelligent automation platforms into DevOps environments is highly desirable.

You will collaborate across engineering, cloud operations, security, database, and application development teams to implement scalable cloud-native solutions and operational best practices. The candidate is expected to provide technical leadership, influence platform standards, mentor engineers, and help drive next-generation automation initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing enterprise-grade DevSecOps, cloud automation, and infrastructure security solutions
• Building and managing scalable CI/CD and GitOps workflows
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible
• Managing Kubernetes and container-based cloud platforms
• Driving AI-assisted automation and intelligent operational workflows
• Designing AI-enabled operational solutions using AI agents, reusable Skills, workflow orchestration frameworks, and MCP-based integrations
• Implementing IAM, cloud security controls, compliance automation, and identity governance solutions
• Implementing observability, monitoring, logging, predictive alerting, and automated remediation solutions
• Supporting highly available, large-scale production systems and distributed cloud platforms
• Evaluating and adopting emerging cloud, AI, automation, platform engineering, and security technologies

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, innovative, technically curious, and comfortable operating in fast-paced enterprise cloud environments with strong ownership and problem-solving skills.

Experience

• 15+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or large-scale distributed systems environments
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with AI/Generative AI technologies, AI-enabled automation, AI operational tooling, or AI-assisted engineering workflows
• Proven experience leading cloud modernization, automation, platform engineering, and infrastructure security initiatives
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, architectural, and problem-solving skills
• Experience driving technical direction and engineering best practices across teams
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to evolving cloud, AI, security, and DevSecOps technologies

Basic Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience with DevOps tools, cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, and scripting/programming languages (Python, Bash/Shell, PL/SQL, etc.)
• Strong experience with Linux administration, Terraform, Ansible, Git, Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong experience with IAM, cloud security, identity management, infrastructure security, secrets management, and security automation
• Experience implementing observability and monitoring solutions for distributed systems
• Experience with AI-assisted development, operational automation, intelligent monitoring, or AI-enabled engineering workflows
• Familiarity with modern AI engineering ecosystems including LLM integrations, AI agents, RAG architectures, vector databases, MCP-based tooling, coding copilots, reusable Skills/workflow orchestration, or AI-assisted developer platforms
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, compliance automation, policy-as-code, Zero Trust principles, and cloud security best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure technologies including OCI IAM, OCI Vault, OCI SDK, OCI Functions, OCI DevOps, OCI Monitoring, and OCI Observability & Management
• Experience with OCI AI Services, OCI Generative AI, OCI Data Science, AI Agents, or modern AI/ML cloud platforms
• Experience implementing MLOps pipelines and AI model deployment workflows
• Experience integrating LLMs, Generative AI APIs, conversational AI, or AI-assisted engineering platforms into operational workflows
• Experience with AI-driven observability, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and automated incident remediation
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Splunk, Datadog, or similar observability platforms
• Experience with distributed systems, high-availability architectures, and platform engineering best practices
• Familiarity with cloud governance, infrastructure compliance, security posture management, and enterprise IAM frameworks

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

CA: Hiring Range in CAD from: $103,700 to $153,700 per annum.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
