Job Description

Pay Range: €41 750,00 - €52 250,00

At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As a Senior Pricing Business Partner, you’ll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history and innovation. You’ll help tackle the world’s biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern society and enhancing lives - as we continue to apply, refine and recycle metals that matter, for a healthier and more resilient future.

The role:

As a Senior Pricing Business Partner, you will help drive our goals by:

  • Partnering with Sales, Product Management, Finance and other global stakeholders to develop value-driven pricing and negotiation strategies that optimise profitability and support business growth.

  • Leading the preparation, evaluation and governance of commercial opportunities, contracts and pricing approvals, ensuring alignment with business objectives and pricing frameworks.

  • Driving the expansion and adoption of established pricing processes from Clean Air to PGMS, embedding structured quote management, governance and continuous improvement practices.

  • Translating complex commercial and customer data into actionable insights, recommendations and executive-level presentations that support strategic decision making.

  • Establishing a structured Quarterly Business Review (QBR) approach across the business, equipping commercial teams with data-driven insights and recommendations for customer discussions.

  • Acting as a trusted partner to commercial teams and leadership, providing constructive challenge and guidance on pricing decisions, contract negotiations and value creation opportunities.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role

  • Proven experience in a commercial business partnering, key account management, pricing and/or analytics, commercial excellence or similar customer-facing B2B role.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer needs, pricing strategy and business profitability in complex decision-making environments.

  • Advanced analytical skills with experience translating data into business insights, supported by strong Excel skills and confidence working with reporting or BI tools.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional and senior leadership teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives independently, navigate ambiguity and take ownership in fast-paced, transformation-driven environments.

  • Curiosity for technology, AI and process improvement, with a mindset focused on simplification, automation and continuous improvement.

Even if you only match some of the skills, we’d love to hear from you to discuss further!
