About the role

As Senior Analyst - Regulatory Pricing, you'll play a key role in translating approved revenue determinations into pricing outcomes that balance customer, regulatory and commercial objectives.

Working within the Regulatory Pricing team, you'll develop and maintain pricing models, analyse pricing and revenue outcomes, and provide expert advice on pricing policy, regulatory reviews and emerging customer segments. This is a unique opportunity to influence Transgrid's pricing strategy and collaborate across the business on complex industry challenges.

About you

You’re an analytical and solutions-focused professional who can interpret complex technical, financial and regulatory information and turn it into practical recommendations. You’ll bring strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and deliver quality outcomes to competing deadlines, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to collaborate, influence and explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Tertiary qualification in economics, finance, commerce, engineering, mathematics, analytics or related field.
  • Experience in quantitative, financial or economic modelling in a regulated or infrastructure environment.
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills and experience with complex datasets.
  • Desirable: Experience in electricity pricing, economic regulation or energy market functions.
  • Desirable: Strong knowledge of NER, network pricing methodologies and AER regulatory frameworks.
  • Desirable: Understanding of electricity networks, power systems, planning and load flow modelling.
