Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Senior Practitioner for its client's Safeguarding Adults Team in Bristol.

6-Month Locum Contract | Hybrid Working

We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join their Safeguarding Adults Team on a six-month agency assignment. This is a fast-paced duty management role that requires a confident and knowledgeable practitioner who can make sound safeguarding decisions from day one.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing safeguarding concerns, providing professional guidance, and supporting effective decision-making to ensure positive outcomes for vulnerable adults. Previous safeguarding experience and the ability to work independently within a busy team environment are essential.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Daily management of the safeguarding duty function.
  • Oversight of safeguarding referrals and threshold decisions.
  • Making Section 42 safeguarding decisions.
  • Supporting the allocation and progression of safeguarding work.
  • Providing advice and guidance to Social Workers and managers.
  • Working closely with partner agencies to manage risk and safeguard vulnerable adults.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have,

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
  • Extensive Adult Safeguarding experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Care Act and safeguarding legislation.
  • Experience managing a safeguarding duty desk or front-door service.
  • Confident decision-maker with excellent risk assessment skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
