Job Details

Software Engineers have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code and providing technical leadership to a team of software engineers. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team.

Three new positions are available. The roles will work within small IT project teams that collaborate closely with business teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee software development work and write optimised code.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers.
• Take responsibility for the quality and functionality of software produced by the team.
• Work cohesively within small IT project teams and alongside business teams.
• Contribute to the continued expansion of the myAMSA portal and its services.
• Understand AMSA's business and mission.
• Collaborate effectively within a high-performing team in a small organisation.

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse and Power Platform, including Power Pages
• JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS
• Modern front-end frameworks such as Vue.js
• C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON and SQL
• Azure API Management, Azure Functions and Logic Apps
• Power Automate
• Azure DevOps, source control and CI/CD practices
• Established application architectures, development patterns and reusable components
• AI and intelligent automation technologies

About the Project

The successful developers will join the inflight myAMSA portal project program.

myAMSA supports AMSA's organisational strategy by delivering a digital-first approach to maritime regulation, improving customer experience, streamlining business processes, enhancing data capability and enabling more efficient regulatory service delivery. The portal has been developed in-house and will continue to be expanded to support additional services.

Selection Criteria

Essential Criteria

1. Demonstrated experience developing solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse and the Power Platform, including Power Pages.
2. Strong front-end development skills using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS, with experience in modern frameworks such as Vue.js.
3. Strong full-stack development skills, including experience with C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON and SQL, and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
4. Experience with Azure and Power Platform integration technologies, such as API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps and Power Automate.
5. Experience working with established application architectures, development patterns and reusable components, including Azure DevOps, source control and CI/CD practices.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with demonstrated experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary delivery teams.

Desirable Criteria

1. Experience with AI and intelligent automation technologies, such as Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, AI Builder, generative AI or agent-based solutions.
2. Relevant Microsoft certifications across Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure or AI will be highly regarded.
