Help us deliver like never before This is a unique and rare opportunity for anyone who is agile and looking to take the next step in their career and love a good challenge. We are looking for a resilient, safety conscious, confident, and motivated individual to join and support your local Charters Towers community and ensure our letters and parcels are delivered on time.
About the opportunity
This is a supervisory position leading a small and important team of 3 people at the Charters Towers Delivery Annexe, reporting into the Delivery Manager based in Townsville. This job is a hybrid position of indoors and outdoors; delivering, prioritising safety, performance, and service levels. The job requires some indoor sorting work, some indoor desk work, and some physical outdoor work. You’ll be working together with a friendly team of likeminded people, and your community relies on you, and it doesn’t get better than that!
About You
You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure effective workplace relationships, provide leadership, and contribute to the development of the team. You're motivated to bring the best out of the Charters Towers team under your guidance and also not afraid to be hands on and do deliveries daily. You are comfortable speaking to people at all levels within the business and can effectively have supportive conversations about performance and business goals. This position is suitable to someone who likes to keep fit and active. Daily deliveries are a part of this position with 5-6 hours outdoors. There is a lot of driving, dismounting, and walking involved as part of the delivery requirements. A motorcycle licence with strong confident riding experience is a must for this job.
