About the Role
The Senior Policy Officer leads and delivers policy and program initiatives that support NSW Government commitments for Aboriginal communities You will manage complex projects, provide strategic advice, and work across agencies and stakeholders to drive outcomes that support the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and Land strategy
You will join our Reform and InnovationBranch in Aboriginal Affairs NSW, Premier’s Department. The team leads wholeofgovernment reform and partnerships with Aboriginal stakeholders to deliver long-term social, cultural, and economic outcomes. We’re Looking For
Policy and Project Delivery: Proven experience delivering policy initiatives or service delivery reforms, including research, implementation and evaluation.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Strong ability to engage, consult and negotiate with government, community and external stakeholders, and provide clear, high-quality advice.
Cultural Capability:Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with and understand issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving: Ability to analyse complex issues, identify practical solutions, and provide sound strategic advice to support reform outcomes.
Collaboration and Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively across teams, agencies and communities.
Native title experience: A background in native title is highly regarded.
