Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction (SARTR) is the government’s solution provider and supports significant events in Albertans’ lives, like having a child, getting married, mourning the loss of a loved one, getting a driver’s license, or buying a home.
Our ministry is responsible for protecting consumers in an increasingly complex economic environment; overseeing registry activities, like vehicle, business and land registrations; managing alcohol, cannabis and gaming stakeholder relationships and policy frameworks; and cutting red tape by one-third to reduce costs, speed up approvals, and make life easier for hard-working Albertans and businesses.
These positions will be in the Regulatory Transformation, Compliance, and Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Policy (RTCGLCP) Division in SARTR, with positions being recruited to three teams: iGaming; Alcohol, Gaming and Cannabis; and Red Tape Reduction.
The iGaming Team supports the RTCGLCP Division through the design and development of legislative and strategic policy frameworks supporting Alberta's online gaming (iGaming) model.
The Alcohol, Gaming and Cannabis Policy Team is responsible for leading policy work that aligns with Alberta’s approach to liquor, cannabis, and land-based gaming. The Alcohol, Gaming and Cannabis Policy Team works closely with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis, a Crown corporation responsible for regulating Alberta’s gaming, liquor and cannabis industries.
The Red Tape Reduction Team, within the RTCGLCP Division, is responsible for leading and coordinating efforts to reduce red tape across the Government of Alberta, including supporting stakeholder engagement activities.
