The role focuses on enabling fast and agile value generation by leveraging Axpo's cloud capabilities. The candidate will collaborate with peers and experts to create and deliver next-generation customer solutions in an agile and responsive manner. The ideal candidate should have:

• Expertise in cloud engineering (preferably Azure).

• Strong backend development skills.

• The ability to translate requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.

What will you do

• Support early‑stage ideation initiatives by rapidly designing and building scalable technical foundations

• Design and implement cloud‑native platforms and services that enable AI‑enabled products

• Work hands‑on with engineers, product managers, and analysts to turn ideas into production‑ready solutions

• Implement DevOps and automation practices: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and observability

• Ensure reliability, scalability, and security as products move from prototype to real usage

• Take ownership of platform aspects for products emerging from ideation initiatives

• Stay up to date with modern cloud, platform, and AI‑related technologies through continuous learning and experimentation

• Share knowledge and best practices across teams

What you bring & who you are

• Strong experience as a platform or backend engineer in modern cloud environments, preferably Azure

• Hands‑on mindset with deep technical curiosity

• Strong understanding of DevOps practices: CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Proven interest in AI‑enabled architectures and how platforms support intelligent products

• Comfortable working in fast‑moving, exploratory environments

• Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work closely with product and analytics roles

• Passion for learning, experimenting, and staying current with modern technologies

• Fluent in English; German is a plus
