Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marsh Technology business. This role will be based in Cluj-Napoca. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You will join a team focused on building and evolving platform capabilities that enable product teams to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working across cloud, containers, automation, and developer enablement to improve platform reliability, reduce operational effort, and support modern software delivery.

We will count on you to:

• Design, build, and improve platform capabilities that support secure, scalable, cloud-native software delivery across on-premises and public cloud environments
• Automate deployments, integrations, and infrastructure provisioning using modern platform engineering, GitOps, and CI/CD practices
• Deploy, support, and enhance Kubernetes-based platforms and related tooling, helping teams deliver more efficiently through self-service and standardized environments
• Troubleshoot platform and application issues, provide Level III support, and contribute to 24x7 operations through an on-call rotation
• Partner with software engineering, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to drive architecture decisions, standards, and modernization initiatives
• Use AI-enabled developer and productivity tools responsibly to support automation, scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, and code review

What you need to have:

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container-based delivery, and platform tooling such as Argo CD, Crossplane, Terraform, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI, including cloud infrastructure, architecture, and platform integration
• Programming or scripting experience in Go, Python, and/or JavaScript/Node.js, along with practical use of Bash, Linux, and Windows tooling where needed
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, web/security/networking protocols, observability, incident response, and modern engineering platforms such as Azure DevOps or GitHub
• Experience with Docker, monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog or Langsmith, and secure delivery practices including vulnerability remediation
• Exposure to AI-assisted engineering tools and the ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, security, maintainability, and responsible use
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

What makes you stand out?

• Experience with technologies such as AWS EKS, Azure AKS, JFrog Artifactory, AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, Komodor, Tigera Calico Enterprise, or CAST AI.
• Experience building shared platforms, developer enablement capabilities, or taking platform solutions from concept through production.
• Exposure to AI/ML cloud services, AIOps, intelligent alerting, operational analytics, or Python-based AI automation and prototyping.
• Development experience with web applications, web services, API platforms, or data platforms.
• A strong DevOps mindset with a passion for eliminating manual operational processes and improving engineering productivity.
