Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer

Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore

Business & Team: Retail Technology is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively work with customer facing product engineers to design, build and run platforms that they can use to deliver customer value at greater quality, velocity, and safety.
  • Contribute to making our platforms loved by our engineers.
  • Contribute to software that ensures that all deployment and operations is as automated as possible, using languages such as PowerShell and python, and automate implementation of controls into our platforms.
  • Maintain the underlying infrastructure to ensure that it is reliable, secure and scalable.
  • Participate in cross-group activities to build a culture of one team, bar-raising both our engineering capability and our technology solutions to drive our strategy.
  • Write code that automates the operations of our platforms, infrastructure, environments, and tooling. Actively participate in On-Call rosters from time to time to own resolution of any critical issues, ensuring the seamless operation of our systems, products and platforms.

Essential Skills:-

  • Experience: 8+ years of industry experience in deployment operations
  • Experience In Risk management for better risk outcomes.
  • Experience in windows environment
  • Language orientation: PowerShell , yaml, python, .net
  • Soft skills Excellent communication skills. Working experience with Agile methodologies, Good problem solving skills
  • Cloud Experience on cloud migrations and deployment, with preference for AWS Cloud , Kubernetes
  • Artificial Intelligence Experience in AI technologies, particularly around tooling enhancements will be valued.
  • CI/CD Familiarity with usage and configuration of fully automated pipelines is useful. This includes GitHub Actions, Artifactory and TeamCity
  • Devops Familiarity with devops-managed environments. Specifically, around observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Promethius, PagerDuty)

Security Infra security vulnerability

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in engineering in Information Technology.
