Job Description

Global Technology Solutions (GTS) at ResMed is a division dedicated to creating innovative, scalable, and secure platforms and services for patients, providers, and people across ResMed. The primary goal of GTS is to accelerate well-being and growth by transforming the core, enabling patient, people, and partner outcomes, and building future-ready operations.

The strategy of GTS focuses on aligning goals and promoting collaboration across all organizational areas. This includes fostering shared ownership, developing flexible platforms that can easily scale to meet global demands, and implementing global standards for key processes to ensure efficiency and consistency.

Senior Platform Engineer

At Resmed, we are changing lives with every breath – improve patient quality of life, prevent chronic disease progression and reduce healthcare system costs.

Our mission is to empower Resmed's developer community with an opinionated, yet empathetic developer experience that avoids surprise, is a joy to use, and abstracts the complexities of modern development to accelerate the pace of ResMed’s next generation Healthcare Informatics platform.

Help hundreds of engineers ship faster and safer in connected health. Join ResMed’s DevEx team to build the platforms, tooling, and practices that make development at scale fast, reliable, and a joy.

The impact you’ll have

  • Remove friction across the SDLC and own DevEx products end‑to‑end—from discovery to delivery and ongoing developer satisfaction.

  • Lead inner‑source/open‑source practices and grow a strong engineering community.

  • Guide modernization to cloud‑native and bake in observability and reliability by default.

  • Join a measured, follow‑the‑sun on‑call rotation for production incidents.

You’re a great fit if you have

  • A CS degree (or equivalent) and a solid software/platform engineering background.

  • Polyglot skills (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, TypeScript, React).

  • Quality‑first habits: strong testing, clean code, and clear Markdown docs.

  • Git mastery—branching, pull requests, and automated quality gates (GitHub or Bitbucket).

  • A track record modernizing legacy systems toward cloud‑native with an SRE mindset.

  • Hands‑on proficiency with public cloud (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, Helm, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (integrated with CI/CD).

Bonus points

  • Thoughtful use of GenAI in developer workflows.

  • Deep observability experience (Datadog, Splunk, or ELK) and leading post‑incident reviews.
