Job Description

Flightradar24 is one of the most successful growth-stage tech companies in Stockholm. Each day more than 5 million aviation enthusiasts visit Flightradar24 (app/website) and our Commercial services team has many of the biggest names in aviation on its customer list.

We are looking for a skilled Platform and Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure team and help us build, scale, and maintain our cloud infrastructure and services in AWS.

The position requires that you are able to work in Stockholm, Sweden.

What you’ll do

Your responsibilities include

  • Design, implement, and manage reliable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles.

  • Work closely with developers to streamline CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment speed and stability.

  • Ensure high availability, security, and performance across our AWS services.

  • Monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, and continuously improve observability and resilience.

  • Own database infrastructure, incl. provisioning , migrations, backups, replication, performance tuning.

  • Build and operate an internal developer platform that provides reproducible environments.

Required technical competence

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, and IAM.

  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes

  • Cloud & Data Platform on AWS, Streaming & Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ

  • Databases & Storage: SQL/NoSQL systems (e.g., MySQL/MariaDB/Postgres, Redis, DynamoDB, data lake/warehouse patterns)

  • DevOps & Platform: Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform

  • Engineering practices: Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, linting, unit tests, integration tests

  • Be comfortable automating workflows using scripting languages such as Bash or Python.

  • Knowledge of security best practices and cost optimization in AWS

  • You enjoy collaboration, take ownership of your work, and thrive in an environment with clear vision, short feedback loops, and continuous improvement.

  • Has 5+ years of hands-on experience building and operating production systems

  • Is self-driven and comfortable making technical decisions independently

  • Can quickly understand and work within an existing codebase and architecture

  • Values clean code, testing, automation, and pragmatic engineering practices

  • Communicates clearly and professionally in English
