STRATEGIC FOCUS:

• Position assigned plant(s) for growth and performance. Strengthen cost reduction and performance measurement.
• Strengthen decision‑making through product costing and variance analysis.
• Support strategic planning and budgeting process.
• Lead improvement of the cost center planning and budgeting process.

CONTACTS:

• Interact with all levels of the site personnel.
• Interact with cross functional colleagues.
• Interact with other BL/PL Controllers.
• Interact with Evonik officials, customers, potential third parties, Interact with service providers, vendors and other visitors as needed.

NATURE & SCOPE

This position has the responsibility to provide financial information with a strong focus on product costing and operational plant spending and to achieve an open communicative management style to facilitate growth, restructuring, revitalizing and renewal activities to help achieve improved performance. This position regularly interfaces with financial services, BL controllers, site management and department managers.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Support development and management of annual operating and capital budgets for assigned site(s).
• Actively participates in the month end closing process to ensure the quality and timeliness of financial accruals, process order variances and other data that affects the financial results.
• Monitor process orders, analysis of production variances and initiate suitable measures (e.g., Recipe and BoM actualization)
• Lead/Participate in improvement tasks and support consistent execution at assigned site(s)
• Serve as a site contact for the tax department and internal/external auditors.
• Ensure proper communications to site management, financial services, business controlling on changes from various business decisions that will affect them.
• Analyse trends using primary data sources, support effective use of data systems.
• Coordinate preparation of data and analytics reporting and ensure consistent, decision‑ready outputs across assigned site(s).
• Adhere to policies & regulatory codes, identify potential non‑compliance and escalate appropriately
• Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines and protocols
• Plans, organises, prioritises, and oversees activities to meet business objectives.
• Provide technical guidance training and oversights to stakeholders as needed.
