Media Negotiating & Buying – 25%
Oversee andassistin RFP creation and review of partners/site responses, compiles proposal analysis and drive partner negotiations
Ensure accuracy of insertion orders within internal systems tool to reserve advertising space andis responsible foraccuracy of plan details and confirmation of delivery ensuring proper protocol
Collaboratewith key partners during planning process, including Partners, CreativeAgenciesand biddable activation teams (e.g.Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic)
Work alongside other HorizonMediateams (Business Solutions, Investment, etc.) towards 360 partnerships, incorporating relevant extensions
Reporting & Analysis –25%
Monitor and report on media campaigns on an ongoing basis, providing an active voice communicating optimization opportunities and challenges to internal teams, mediapartnersand the client
Parse through partner ad verification and ad server data to provide critical thinking and analysis, as well as draw conclusions and discover actionable implications
Responsible for providing data for dashboards/Excel trackers, as needed by account, ensuring accuracy and validity of data shown
Effectively communicate optimization strategies,challengesand opportunities across display, mobile,socialand video
Relationship Management – 15%
Develop andmaintainstrong, mutually beneficial relationships with Horizon Media departments tofacilitateproblem solving,i.e.Business Solutions, Traffic, Operations, as well as clients and vendors
Have foresight and understanding of projects tomaintainand adjust timing of deliverables for team at large, communicating changes to managers and leadership
Apply knowledge of current/previousclients’ specific business and industry to enhance and further relationships
Begin serving as a resource and trusted partner for clients
Team Management& Delegation – 15%
Contribute to other junior team member(s) development (train Assistant Planners and Planners, onboard new Senior Planners)
Schedule check ins with junior team members,identifyinggoals and opportunities for career development, contribute to performance management
Guide team in setting goals, projecttasksand timelines
Utilize past experiences to develop Planner’s mentorship skills and abilities
Provide education on best practices, media principles, and industry at large
Participate in interview process for Assistant/Planner roles
Digital Media Strategy – 15%
Collaborate with supervisor on strategy, guiding assistant and planner in plan development
Employ HorizonMedia’ssuite of planning,evaluationand buying tools for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plandevelopmentand reporting
Ensuredigital strategy fits into overall brand communication goals
Participate in team brainstorms to kick off plan and consideration set development
Monitortrends, tools,opportunitiesand applications within digital environments, and appropriately apply that knowledgeto campaign strategy and client goals
Guide andparticipatein creation and presentation of media specific documents such as media plans,objectivesand strategies decks, and other related functions
Campaign Management & Execution – 5%
Oversee trafficking and site tagging, follow through to ensure sites are enabled, and functioning properly
Ensure accuracy of specs documents and that all materials are received from creative agency
Delegate and provide direction oncampaign post launch information (i.e.screenshots,linksand placement information) todemonstrateproof of placement for clients
Work alongside assistant media planner and media planner on mid-campaign reconciliation, billing, pacing, campaignvalidationand brand safety

Knowledge of various channelsand buying methods(video, display, programmatic, social)
Familiarity with marketing principles,analyticsand concepts
Confidence within Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in negotiating and constructing digital media plans
Competencewithin systems and tools related to the media planning process (i.e.media management system, billing system, competitive and targeting tools)
Mastery ofthird-party ad server and ad verifications (DCM, Double Verify,Innovidpreferred)
Familiarity with biddable channels and partner direct

Salary Range: $1,275.00 to $1,538.00 a week. A successful applicant’s actual weekly or hourly rate may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
