Job Purpose
The Senior Program Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining and optimising integrated project schedules to support the successful delivery of maintenance and capital works programs.
The role provides planning, scheduling and project controls expertise, ensuring accurate forecasting, effective resource utilisation, proactive risk identification and reliable performance reporting.
Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, the Planner enables informed decision-making and contributes to the safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery of projects in accordance with organisational standards and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and update integrated project schedules in Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project scope, milestones, deliverables and contractual requirements.
Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activity logic, resource loading, schedule baselines and project controls frameworks.
Develop, maintain and validate cost- loaded project program in Primavera P6, ensuring alignment between scope, schedule, resources and project budgets.
Monitor project progress against approved baselines, assess the impacts of variations, delays and scope changes, and recommend mitigation strategies.
Analyse schedule performance, critical path activities, constraints, float consumption, risks and opportunities to support successful project delivery.
Produce and maintain project controls reports, dashboards, S-curves, resource histograms and schedule forecasts to support project governance and decision-making.
Ensure schedule quality, data integrity, version control and compliance with organisational planning standards, procedures and project control requirements.

Qualifications
Minimum 6 years’ experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls within rail, infrastructure, construction or maintenance environments.
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential)
Experience developing and managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), including the integration of detailed schedules and progress updates.
Proven ability to analyse schedules, critical path, float, schedule risk and schedule performance.
