Coherent Corp is the global leader in photonics, designing and manufacturing advanced laser, optical, and materials technologies. Our innovations power semiconductor manufacturing, AI infrastructure, advanced communications, and precision industrial systems worldwide. With a global footprint and cutting-edge manufacturing and R&D, we’re shaping the future of high-tech industries.

In Sweden, our teams operate Sweden’s only full-scale indium phosphide wafer fabrication facility, where we design, manufacture, and test some of the world’s fastest optical chips under one roof, supporting AI infrastructure, data centers, and global communications networks worldwide.

The Role

You will be responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring the production flow from inbound to outbound (end-to-end responsibility) to ensure high delivery precision, efficient resource utilization, and a stable flow. The role acts as a key link between demand, material supply, production, and delivery. The team is growing and we are looking for our newest member to focus on outbound production flow.

Roles & Responsibilities

Demand and Planning

  • Ensure that demand is translated into a feasible production plan

  • Participate in forecasting and contribute to improved forecast accuracy

  • Balance demand against capacity and material availability (constrained planning)

Inbound

  • Ensure material availability in line with production and capacity plans

  • Follow up on supplier deliveries and internal material flows

  • Identify and manage risks related to material shortages

Production Planning

  • Develop and maintain short- and mid-term production plans

  • Ensure optimal sequencing and utilization of production resources

  • Monitor plan performance and take corrective actions in case of deviations

  • Actively work to improve plan stability and adherence (plan vs. actual)

Outbound (Delivery and Distribution Planning)

  • Ensure finished goods are delivered according to plan and customer requirements

  • Coordinate with logistics and distribution to optimize deliveries

  • Follow up on delivery performance

  • Manage returns

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and drive improvements in planning processes and ways of working

  • Contribute to standardization and development of tools and system support

  • Work in a data-driven manner with KPIs and performance follow-up

Coordination and Communication

  • Act as a central link between Sales, Procurement, Production, and Logistics

  • Participate in forums with suppliers and customers

  • Take part in daily operational meetings and deviation management

  • Communicate changes in plans and ensure alignment across the organization

About You

  • Relevant education within production, logistics, supply chain or related field, or equivalent experience

  • Fluency in both Swedish and English (written and spoken)

  • Proven experience managing customer requirements and offering customer support

  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle; database knowledge and experience in system administration are considered an advantage

CULTURE COMMITMENT

Ensure adherence to company’s values (ICARE) in all aspects of your position:

  • Integrity – Create an Environment of Trust

  • Collaboration – Innovate Through the Sharing of Ideas

  • Accountability – Own the Process and the Outcome

  • Respect – Recognize the Value in Everyone
