Senior Planner

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join a dynamic and reputable organisation to contribute to their continued growth and success.

As a Senior Planner, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the project control function. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including project managers and clients, to develop and execute effective project schedules. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

The Role:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, including the sequencing of activities, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct critical path analysis and identify potential bottlenecks or conflicts to optimise project schedules.
  • Evaluate project risks and propose mitigation strategies to minimise delays and disruptions.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identifying deviations from the schedule and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status to project stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
  • Participate in project meetings, contributing your expertise to discussions on project planning and scheduling.
  • Contribute to and produce relevant planning and scheduling documentation

The Person:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, project management or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Planner with a solid understanding of project planning and scheduling methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and scheduling tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate project risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset and exceptional organisational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
