About the Role & Team

IDC is building the next generation of AI-powered intelligence products. Our engineering organisation runs multiple capability streams — UI, AI, Search, Data, Entitlements — delivering across a set of strategic product themes simultaneously.

We are looking for a Senior PI / Scrum Master to own and drive the delivery cadence across our active engineering themes. This is not a role for a process enforcer. It is a role for someone who knows Agile and PI frameworks well enough to apply them pragmatically — adapting the approach to what the team and environment actually need, not following a textbook.

The right person is as comfortable talking blockers with an engineer as running a planning session with a product owner. They understand how software gets built, what slows teams down, and how to remove it.

What You’ll Do

• Facilitate weekly planning, theme sync, deployment review, sprint demo, and PI review ceremonies across active delivery themes
• Own the open decisions list — ensuring blockers are named, owned, and closed before they slow engineering down
• Track and report delivery health metrics (DORA) and team health signals (SPACE) weekly
• Maintain Jira backlogs and Confluence documentation as a live reflection of programme status
• Coach engineers, tech leads, and product owners on delivery best practices — without being dogmatic about process
• Continuously adapt the delivery approach based on retrospective feedback and what actually works for the team

What You Bring

• 5+ years in a Scrum Master, delivery, or programme coordination role in a software engineering environment
• Solid knowledge of Agile and PI planning frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, or equivalent) — with the judgment to adapt them
• Experience coordinating multiple cross-functional teams toward a shared delivery goal
• Strong facilitation skills — planning sessions that produce real commitments, not just discussion
• Comfortable in a technical engineering environment — credible with engineers without needing to write code
• Fluent in Jira and Confluence
• Nice to have: Background as a software engineer, technical lead, or programme manager who moved into delivery. Experience with DORA metrics, distributed teams (CZ/UK/US), and CI/CD deployment reviews. Agile or SAFe certifications are a plus but real experience comes first.
