Key Responsibilities
Piping System Design & Layout:
• Develop 3D and 2D piping designs for mining facilities using CAD software.
• Optimize piping routes for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Pipe Support & Stress Analysis:
• Design pipe support structures to ensure stability and durability.
• Conduct pipe stress analysis to evaluate thermal expansion, vibration, and load conditions.
• Utilize software tools for stress simulations and structural integrity assessments.
Hydraulic Analysis & Flow Optimization:
• Perform hydraulic calculations for line sizing and pump selection – water, slurry and tailings applications.
• Analyze system performance to optimize efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
• Ensure proper selection of valves, fittings, and control systems.
Project Coordination & Compliance:
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, electrical, and process engineers.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and calculation reports.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (ASME, API, ISO), Australian standards and applicable Client standards.
Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Piping or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in piping system design, stress analysis, and mechanical engineering.
• Strong English communication is a MUST.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Plant3D).
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (Fluidflow).
• Expertise in hydraulic calculations and fluid dynamics.
• Familiarity with static and rotary equipment design.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
