Job Description

We are seeking an experienced People Experience Partner to join our Australian People & Culture team in Perth. This is a newly created position providing dedicated, on-the-ground HR support to our Western Australian operations while partnering with leaders across the broader Australian business.

This role offers a blend of Senior HR Advisory and HR Business Partnering, with a strong focus on employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management and leader coaching.

You will be the key People Experience contact in Perth, working closely with leaders and employees across a diverse workforce spanning field services, workshops, engineering, sales and corporate functions. You will also collaborate with People & Culture colleagues across Australia, Asia and our global organisation.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced HR professional who is confident managing complex people matters independently while building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

As People Experience Partner, you will:

• Manage complex employee relations matters including grievances, complaints, misconduct, performance concerns and workplace investigations.
• Lead and support workplace investigations, ensuring procedural fairness and appropriate documentation throughout the process.
• Manage performance improvement processes and provide practical advice to managers on performance and conduct matters.
• Facilitate mediation and conflict resolution and support leaders in resolving challenging workplace situations.
• Coach managers and leaders to strengthen their people management capability and confidence.
• Partner with approximately six key leaders across the Australian business through regular stakeholder meetings and proactive HR support.
• Support workforce planning, succession planning and organisational change initiatives.
• Provide commercially sound and pragmatic advice while balancing employee, business and legislative requirements.
• Facilitate leadership development, soft-skills and global learning programs, including workshops covering communication, workplace behaviour, discrimination, harassment and bullying awareness.
• Take ownership of the graduate program, supporting participant experience and the development of future talent.
• Collaborate with specialist teams across People Experience, Remuneration & Benefits, Learning & Development, Payroll, Talent Acquisition and Strategic HR Business Partnering.
• Build strong relationships across a complex global matrix and work effectively with stakeholders across multiple countries and time zones.

What you bring

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who can confidently step into the role and make an immediate contribution. You will ideally bring:

• Strong generalist HR experience at Senior HR Advisor, People Partner or HR Business Partner level.
• Demonstrated expertise managing complex employee relations and industrial workplace matters.
• Extensive experience conducting and managing workplace investigations.
• Strong knowledge of performance management, including end-to-end PIP processes.
• Experience managing grievances, complaints, misconduct and sensitive employee matters.
• Strong mediation, conflict resolution and manager coaching capability.
• Experience supporting both blue-collar and white-collar workforces, ideally within mining, resources, engineering, manufacturing, field services or another operational environment.
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and contemporary HR practices.
• The confidence to provide credible, practical and commercially focused advice to senior leaders.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with experience delivering workshops or learning programs.
• The ability to work autonomously while remaining highly collaborative within a broader regional and global HR team.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

Most importantly, you will bring strong employee relations expertise and be comfortable taking ownership of complex matters from the outset.

The opportunity

You will support an Australian workforce of approximately 550 employees across operational and corporate environments and have the opportunity to influence the continued development of our People Experience model.

The position is initially offered as a full-time fixed-term appointment through to the end of 2026, with the longer-term business requirement to be reviewed during the contract period.
