The Aftertreatment & Exhaust Systems (AT&ES) organization is seeking a Senior Performance, Simulation, and Application Engineer to provide technical leadership across simulation, controls development, software integration, rapid prototyping, and validation of advanced aftertreatment systems and mechatronic components.
This role will serve as a software lead for aftertreatment development, providing technical direction and coordinating software and calibration activities across programs. The engineer will develop and manage aftertreatment software schedules, track key software and calibration deliverables, identify execution risks, and work across the team to ensure calibrations and software releases are completed in alignment with program timing and validation needs. The position will also contribute to the development of high-level software and controls strategies.
The engineer will develop and maintain rapid-prototyping software and simulation tools that enable efficient laboratory testing, accelerate early validation of emerging technologies, and support the selection and refinement of control strategies. Responsibilities include planning and executing testing of new components and technologies, including emissions sensors, dosing pumps, and other mechatronic devices, as well as performing co-simulation activities using Dynasty. Experience with GT-POWER is a plus.
This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional engineering partners, including CATE and LPSD Mechatronics teams, to coordinate software, controls, calibration, development, and validation activities. The engineer will communicate program timing and technical status, review control strategies, resolve cross-functional issues, and ensure laboratory-developed software and controls solutions are successfully transitioned into production applications.
