Senior Performance Tester / Senior Performance Test Engineer will work closely with the respective stakeholders across the GTO organization to understand the NFT requirements and handle the end to end performance testing activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams/Stakeholders to identify and resolve performance issues. Reporting to the NFT Lead, Test Centre of Excellence (TCoE) @ Innohub2 KL, the candidate will ensure the overall successful delivery of the for any project assigned to him. Candidate is expected to support the Non-Functional Testing project and to ensure the successful delivery in accordance to the organization’s standards and processes.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinating non-functional requirements collection process with business and technical teams; understanding system performance requirements and business objectives.
Studying the non-functional requirements across applications and derive performance testing strategy for impacted systems/applications and interfaces.
Developing scripts and execute performance tests using industry-leading tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter on common protocols such as Web, Web Services, Ajax TruClient, RTE and Winsock.
Designing and executing performance test plans, scenarios and scripts related to application performance, capacity and resiliency using LoadRunner or JMeter.
Analyzing, reviewing and presenting performance results with recommendations to delivery teams and business groups.
Using monitoring tools like Grafana, Splunk, BMC TrueSight and Dynatrace for performance analysis of applications/infrastructure, identifying bottlenecks and providing tuning recommendations.
Performing root cause analysis of performance problems and provides recommendations to resolve them.
Working with Development and DevOps teams to troubleshoot and improve identified performance bottlenecks.
Analyzing scalability, throughput and load testing metrics against test servers.
Comparing system performance with varying levels of physical resources (RAM, CPU, Disk, Network, AWR report analysis, etc.) and providing recommendations for performance improvements.
Measuring, reporting and recommending performance response time guidelines and SLAs.
Building performance benchmarks and workloads and conducting performance analysis.
Scheduling batch jobs from Control-M and manually from AS400 and Mainframe environments and collecting job-level metrics and infrastructure utilization data.
Documenting software defects using JIRA and reporting defects to software developers.
Working with project stakeholders and program leadership across various stages of the SDLC and collaborating between teams.
Building and maintaining scalable, portable and configurable test scripts using HP LoadRunner tools.
Job Requirements
Have a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in computer engineering or related field.
Have 7–9 years of experience in Performance Testing.
Have strong understanding of performance testing concepts and methodologies.
Have exposure to various types of performance tests including load, stress, endurance, etc.
Know the concept of Failure Mode Effect Testing (FMET).
Have hands-on experience with industry-standard performance testing tools such as Micro Focus LoadRunner, Performance Center, Apache JMeter and APM tools such as Splunk, Grafana and BMC.
Have experience in performance testing using multiple protocols including HTTP/HTTPS, RTE, Web Services (REST, SOAP, JSON).
Have proficiency with LRE/Performance Center environment usage and integration.
Have experience working in complex environments with integration to multiple downstream systems and MQs, including Mainframe, Core Banking and AS400 systems.
Have proficiency in cloud-like environments and respective performance trade-offs.
Have comfortability with performance data and reporting, including what metrics to collect, monitor and report.
Have proven experience in testing standards, tools, processes, methodologies, frameworks and various delivery methodologies including Agile, Hybrid Agile, Waterfall and DevOps.
Have experience working in an Agile environment.
Be comfortable working with global teams.
Have strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must display a high level of professional judgment, commitment, integrity and teamwork.
Have excellent communication, stakeholder management, client-facing, written and verbal communication skills.
