We Are Mobilise

We Are Mobilise is Australia's direct giving platform for homelessness. Funders put money in, it moves through a national network of 50+ charity partners, and it lands as rent paid and housing secured - tracked and verified the whole way through.

It started in 2016 with two people and bags of bread, having conversations with people sleeping rough in Melbourne's CBD. It's now an ACNC-registered national charity working toward Project 10,000: housing outcomes for 10,000 people by 2030.

The role

Paid marketing currently sits with Noah, our founder. It needs to come off his desk and into the hands of someone who does this for a living.

Meta is the core of it - around $10k a month in spend, and the channel doing most of the work. Alongside that sits a $10k a month Google Ad Grant, plus TikTok, LinkedIn and Substack. All up, spend ladders to circa $20k a month and shifts depending on what's live. Email marketing sits with this role too.

What you'd do

You'd be hands on in the accounts. Building and launching campaigns, briefing and testing creative, managing budgets across channels, reading the numbers and adjusting. Alongside that, you'd own email - building and sending campaigns, and looking after the list. Noah can weigh in on direction where you want it, but there's no team underneath you - what you set up, you run.

This is 3-4 days a month, ongoing - up to a day a week, spread across the month rather than blocked together, because the accounts need consistent eyes on them. It's built to be one account in a freelance portfolio, not a job that takes over your month.

Who this suits

You're already contracting and you want a steady account that doesn't eat your week. You've run Meta at this spend level or well above it, and you move quickly in the accounts without needing a runway of strategy work first.

Google Ad Grants experience is a genuine advantage. The compliance rules, bid caps and CTR thresholds are their own discipline, and $10k a month of grant spend is worth having someone who knows how to use it.

You'll need to be as comfortable in email as you are in the ad accounts, since both sit with this role. If you've done outbound or partnerships work as well, that's useful context - but it's not what we're hiring for here.

Targets aren't set in stone before you start. You and Noah would map out what good looks like in the first month, once you've been in the accounts and can see what's actually there.
