Job Description

  • You are a performance leader, adept at managing key Transformation stakeholders

  • We are looking for a driven and experienced Leader to join our Team

  • Together, we will uplift performance to better serve our customers and colleagues

Your team

We are seeking a strategic and stakeholder-focused Senior Manager to join Payments & Enterprise Transformation (P&ET). P&ET works across the organisation, and is responsible for the End-to-End management of strategy, planning and driving modernisation execution.

Your role

The Senior Performance Lead reports to the Executive Manager Performance – Monoliths and plays a critical role in enabling delivery and decision‑making across Payments & Enterprise Transformation.

This role operates as an enterprise performance ensuring priorities across multiple technology domains are governed and decision‑ready, even where direct delivery accountability sits elsewhere. You will work across the broad Payments & Enterprise Transformation portfolio to uplift planning quality, performance transparency and financial governance, and to ensure work is executed in alignment with enterprise outcomes.

Acting as a trusted partner to senior leaders, delivery teams (Crews) and enabling functions, you will translate strategy and investment intent into executable priorities, support surfacing delivery risks and trade‑offs, and provide clear, data‑driven insights to support timely and effective decision‑making.

An enterprise mindset, strong delivery judgement and the ability to operate credibly with senior stakeholders will be critical to success in this role.

More specifically you will:

  • Orchestrate the annual and quarterly planning cycles, translating strategy and investment decisions into prioritised, sequenced, and deliverable outcomes across multiple domains.

  • Provide enterprise‑level performance oversight, tracking progress against objectives and key results, and surfacing insights, risks and delivery trade‑offs to enable informed decisions.

  • Establish and continuously improve governance rhythms, forums, cadences and artefacts to optimise the flow of work, escalation of issues and quality of decisions.

  • Support resolution of cross‑domain dependencies, risks and delivery impediments through appropriate governance and leadership forums.

  • Support preparation of decision‑quality inputs for senior leadership, clearly articulating options, impacts, recommendations and required actions.

  • Facilitate performance and delivery forums, translating complex delivery data into clear, outcome‑focused narratives for executives and accountable teams.

  • Partner closely with Executives, Finance, Risk, and delivery leaders to provide strategic advice, and performance transparency.

  • Design and execute structured stakeholder engagement approaches that align diverse groups around shared outcomes and enterprise priorities.

  • Drive consistency and adoption of centralised operating procedures, performance measures, planning standards and delivery disciplines across teams.

  • Ensure alignment to the Group’s delivery frameworks, technology standards and methodologies, while pragmatically adapting approaches to suit enterprise‑level transformation.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience operating in a senior performance, delivery, portfolio or enterprise transformation role within a large, complex and highly regulated organisation.

  • Exceptional stakeholder orchestration skills, including the ability to design structured engagement approaches, manage senior and diverse stakeholder groups, and confidently influence outcomes in ambiguous or contested environments.

  • A track record of framing complex information into clear, decision‑ready narratives for senior leadership, including options, impacts, recommendations and required actions.

  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to synthesise complex data into meaningful insights that drive enterprise‑level decisions.

  • Experience operating within, and pragmatically applying, Agile delivery frameworks, enterprise delivery methodologies and governance standards.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the credibility to operate as a trusted advisor to Executives and senior leaders.

  • Comfort working across multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, applying judgement to balance pace, quality and risk.

  • Proficiency with enterprise planning, reporting and delivery tooling (e.g. Jira, Planview, AI‑enabled platforms such as Copilot), with a focus on insight and decision‑quality rather than tooling for its own sake.

  • Experience in financial services or a similarly regulated environment is preferred.
