Seeking an experienced Performance Engineer to improve the speed, stability, scalability, and efficiency of digital applications. This role combines hands-on performance testing with strategic analysis and advisory responsibilities, contributing to high-quality user experiences across complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, execute, and analyze performance tests (load, stress, endurance)
Develop and maintain performance test scripts
Interpret performance data and provide actionable insights
Identify root causes of performance issues and recommend improvements
Define and implement performance testing strategies and best practices
Evaluate system architecture and design from a performance perspective
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and product owners
Support continuous performance improvement across multiple teams and systems
Lead knowledge sharing and act as a subject matter expert
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or related field
Minimum 6 years of experience in performance engineering or similar role
Strong knowledge of performance testing and monitoring tools
Experience with programming/scripting languages
Proven ability to analyze and resolve performance issues in complex environments
Familiarity with web and mobile application technologies
Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
