This role provides technical and project leadership for the performance and integration of CTL, SSL, and CUL machine andWorkTool systems. The position leads complex, crossfunctional initiatives by building strong collaborative relationships across Product, Engineering, Software, and Manufacturing teams. With ownership of systemlevel requirements, analysis, tuning, and validation, this role ensures the delivery of highquality, customerfocused solutions.

WhatYou’llDo (Job Duties)

  • Collaborate with customers and Product Teams to define and execute a multigenerational product plan for CTL, SSL, and CUL machine andWork Toolsystems.

  • Develop, productionize, and support bestinclass machine performance and system integration through close collaboration with Product Engineering, Commercial, Engineering Systems, and Software teams.

  • Partner with manufacturing locations to ensure inprocess validation meets defined customer and product requirements.

  • Perform inapplication tuning of machine and tool systems andvalidateoverall system functionality and performance.

  • Lead the delivery of technology and integration projects by coordinating activities across crossfunctional teams.

  • Mentor and develop engineers by sharing technicalexpertise, providing guidance on system integration and tuning, and fostering strong crossfunctional collaboration and engineering best practices.

  • Delivertimely, highquality requirements, analysis, and tuning that impact products and processes, providing clear datadriven recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Stay current on emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement of tools, methods, and engineering practices.

What You Have (Core Skills)

  • Process Management:Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.

  • Analytical Thinking:Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determinethe root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

  • Problem Solving:Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Technical Excellence:Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

  • Project Management:Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilizationof technical and administrative resources to achieve projectobjectives

Top Candidates Will Also Have

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technology and integration projects by coordinating work across multiplecross functionalteams, influencing outcomes through strong relationships rather than authority.

  • Proven experience developing, integrating, and supporting complex machine or vehicle systems, withsystem levelownership of requirements, performance, and functional interactions.

  • Handson experience tuning machine or vehicle systems inreal-worldapplications andvalidatingoverall system functionality and performance to meet customer and product requirements.

  • Requires a degree inaccreditedEngineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculumor equivalent industry experience.

  • Domestic relocationassistanceisavailable for this role

  • Travel:Potential for 20% travel mostly between Sanford and Clayton, NC

  • This position requires 5 days per week in the office (M-F)

Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
