Do you want your work to make a difference for NSW?
Working to protect the state’s environment and heritage.
Our People Partnering team is growing, and we’re looking for Senior People Partners who want to be part of that next chapter. With multiple temporary opportunities for 12–24 months, this is your chance to bring your experience, ideas and energy to work that matters.
You’ll partner with leaders to tackle workforce challenges, providing expert strategic and technical HR advice that connects people decisions with business priorities. Working with colleagues across People and Culture, you’ll develop practical workforce solutions, support change from planning through implementation, and manage complex cases and redeployment matters in line with policy and legislation. Along the way, you’ll help improve how we deliver our services - and shape how our growing team partners with the business.
Bring your generalist experience - or the specialist expertise that sets you apart. Alongside experienced generalist people partners, we’re keen to hear from people with strengths in change management, organisational design, and role evaluation and design. You don’t need to cover every speciality. We’re building a team with complementary strengths, and we want to know what you could bring.
People partnering: build trusted relationships, provide clear advice and work through people and workforce matters with leaders.
Change management: help translate change into clear plans, meaningful consultation and practical implementation.
Organisational design: help shape structures that connect organisational priorities with how teams work and deliver.
Role evaluation and design: bring clarity to responsibilities, develop role descriptions and support robust, consistent role evaluation.
You’re an experienced people professional who can move confidently between strategic advice and hands-on delivery. You build trusted relationships, communicate complex matters in plain English and influence decisions through credible, considered advice. You bring sound judgement, professional integrity and the confidence to work through competing priorities while keeping people and business outcomes in focus.
Whether your strengths lie in broad generalist partnering or specialist change and design work, you bring a practical approach and a willingness to share what you know. You can see the bigger picture without losing sight of the people affected by a decision. Most importantly, you want to contribute - not just to the work in front of you, but to the team we’re building.
