The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior People & Culture Specialist to join our People & Culture team. In this influential role, you will provide trusted guidance across a broad range of people programs, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, employee development, engagement, and compliance.

Working closely with the Director of People and Culture, leaders, and employees, you will help strengthen our workplace culture, improve the employee experience, and support the organization’s strategic goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the development and delivery of People & Culture programs related to talent management, employee engagement, performance management, and learning and development.
  • Provide input into policies, procedures, and practices to ensure they remain effective, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, selection, and offer coordination.
  • Oversee onboarding activities to provide new employees with a welcoming and well-organized introduction to the company.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers regarding workplace concerns, conflict resolution, performance matters, and disciplinary processes.
  • Provide practical guidance to managers on performance evaluations, feedback, employee development, and workplace expectations.
  • Promote a positive and respectful workplace culture through clear communication, sound judgment, and effective problem-solving.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate relevant learning and development programs.
  • Support the administration and ongoing use of the Udemy learning platform.
  • Assist employees and managers with career development and succession-planning initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee records and documentation.
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Analyze People & Culture metrics, prepare reports, monitor key performance indicators, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead or participate in projects such as policy updates, employee engagement initiatives, process improvements, and organizational programs.
  • Develop and confidently deliver professional presentations to employees, leaders, and other audiences.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or a recognized HR certification.
  • A CPHR designation is considered an asset.
  • At least five years of progressive Human Resources experience, including two or more years in a senior or specialist-level role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment legislation, employee relations, and workplace best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex and sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong presentation and public-speaking skills, including the ability to create and confidently deliver engaging presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, ADP, and Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Availability for occasional travel based on organizational needs.

Work Location: Hybrid (Currently 3 days a week, subject to change)

Salary: 80,000 - 95,000 CAD

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors.
