Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, empowering legal professionals and law firms of every size to work smarter, faster, and more securely.
We are transforming the legal experience for all by bettering the lives of legal professionals while increasing access to justice.
We’re seeking a Senior People Business Partner (PBP) to support Clio’s Technical Infrastructure organization, including Production Engineering, IT, Security and Data Engineering. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, operational execution, and team performance during a period of continued scale, maturity, and transformation.
As a Senior PBP, you will act as a trusted advisor, coach, and strategic consultant to Technical Infrastructure leaders. You will help leaders scale their teams, develop their teams, navigate change, and drive performance - all while ensuring a strong, inclusive, and compliant employee experience.
This role is ideal for a senior People leader who is comfortable partnering with highly technical teams and who brings strong business acumen, organizational insight, and judgment to complex environments.
You are a senior-level People partner who understands how technical infrastructure organizations operate and intersect: how Production Engineering keeps Clio’s platform reliable, how IT and Security protect and enable the business, and how Data Engineering builds the data platforms that analytics and AI work depend on. You balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution and bring confidence, clarity, and sound judgment to ambiguous situations.
You are comfortable operating at the intersection of business strategy, organizational design, performance, and employee experience, and you build deep, trusted relationships with leaders at all levels.
The People Business Partner team at Clio is responsible for enabling leaders and teams to do their best work while ensuring Clio scales sustainably, equitably, and compliantly. PBPs partner closely with leaders, People Centers of Excellence (Talent, Total Rewards, L&D, People Ops), and cross-functional teams to deliver thoughtful, data-driven people solutions that align with Clio’s business strategy and values.
Together, we help Clio build human and high-performing teams and exceptional leaders.
This is a new role.
Compensation is one of the main components of Clio’s Total Rewards Program. We have developed a series of programs and processes to ensure we are creating fair and competitive pay practices that form the foundation of our human and high-performing culture.
The expected salary range for this role is $107,300 to $145,100 CAD. Initial placement within the range is informed by geographic region, experience, and skillset, with room to progress as impact and tenure grow. Final offer amounts will vary based on candidate profile.
