We’re looking for Senior Payroll Officers to join our team in a Full Time permanent capacity to be based at our Macquarie Park corporate office — someone who values teamwork, growth and making a difference.

🧭 About the Role

As a Senior Payroll Officer with us, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our team. You'll be responsible for the overall day to day management of a specific portfolio which will include end to end pay run processing across a segment and any ad hoc pay runs

🔧 What You’ll Do

• Preparing and upload super file to clearing house, then organize the payment
• Checking and re-banking the returned super
• Reconcile and process portable LSL levy payment and claims
• Manage employee records, leave entitlements, and salary packaging.
• Responsible for the timely follow up and response to all payroll queries within KPI standards
• Process and provide termination and redundancy estimates as required
• Ensure compliance with Fair Work regulations, Modern Awards, and Enterprise Agreements
• Stay updated with changes in Australian payroll legislation and best practices.
• Manage payroll operations workflow from Service Now
• Provide training to other team members where required
• Prepare and run the ad hoc reports as requested

🎯 What We’re Looking For

• A friendly, customer-focused approach with strong communication skills.
• Proven experience in payroll across both blue- and white-collar employees.
• Sound understanding of awards, enterprise agreements, and payroll legislation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with confident decision-making.
• Experience using payroll systems such as CHRIS21/iCHRIS or similar systems

Strong candidates will present with:

• Previous experience with payrun processing
• Intermediate to advanced skills with Excel (formulas, pivot tables and macros)
• Experience working with Kronos/UKG
