The Opportunity

Join Veolia’s high-performing national payroll team and play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll services to thousands of employees across Australia. You’ll manage complex end-to-end payroll processing, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support projects within one of Australia’s most recognised sustainability leaders.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Process and review payroll in line with EBAs, awards, and legislative requirements

  • Oversee payroll officers to ensure onboarding, offboarding, and employee change workflows are managed accurately and completed on time

  • Perform detailed pay-to-pay variance checks, tax and super calculations, and resolve discrepancies

  • Provide guidance and training to Payroll Officers and support ongoing process improvement

  • Partner with HR and Finance to resolve complex payroll queries

  • Ensure payroll processes comply with regulatory and internal compliance requirements by conducting regular compliance activities, including monitoring adherence to SOPs and performing data quality checks

  • Support payroll system testing and configuration in SAP SuccessFactors ECP

  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure legislative and policy compliance at all times

What you'll need to be successful

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll processing

  • Proven experience with SAP SuccessFactors & ECP (essential)

  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, ATO compliance, superannuation, and payroll tax

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability

  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Collaborative team player with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

  • Experience with UKG Pro (desirable)
