Job Description

Murphy is recruiting for a Senior Payroll Administrator to work with our Finance team in Newbridge.

Main Purpose of Role:

To ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining payroll records in line with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll, including hours, overtime, allowances, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including starters, leavers, pay changes, annual leave, and bank details.
  • Process statutory deductions, pension contributions, and benefits.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports and statutory filings within required deadlines.
  • Complete weekly payroll reconciliations and support month-end and year-end activities.
  • Manage the payroll inbox and respond to employee queries in a timely manner.
  • Assist with payroll audits and maintain accurate payroll documentation.
  • Liaise with Site Administrators and HR to ensure all payroll changes are received before payroll cut-off dates.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in payroll, finance administration, or a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of payroll processes, tax, and pension requirements.
  • Experience using payroll software such as MegaPay, SAP, or similar systems.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • IPASS qualification or currently studying towards a payroll qualification is desirable.
  • Experience processing payroll across multiple sites is desirable.
  • Experience working in a high-volume payroll environment is desirable.
