Job Description

About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join our Financial Planning team.

In this role, you'll provide technical expertise and support to Financial Planning Advisors, helping to deliver high-quality financial planning solutions and excellent client outcomes. Working with both clients and colleagues, you'll play a key role in producing suitability reports, conducting research, analysing complex cases and supporting the end-to-end advice process.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys technical financial planning, building trusted relationships and contributing to a collaborative, client-focused team.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Prepare high-quality suitability reports, recommendations and client review documentation.
  • Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, protection and estate planning.
  • Support Advisors throughout the financial planning process.
  • Gather, maintain and analyse client information using internal systems.
  • Liaise with clients, providers and professional connections as required.
  • Work closely with administration teams to deliver an excellent client experience.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Contribute to the development of paraplanning processes and best practice.
  • Support the production of management information and reporting.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with junior team members where appropriate.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with FCA regulations and internal compliance standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Significant paraplanning experience within a financial planning, wealth management or private client environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge across key areas of financial planning.
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth and complex client cases.
  • Excellent report-writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience using financial planning and cashflow modelling tools.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work proactively.
  • CII Level 4 Diploma qualified (or equivalent), with progression towards Level 6/Chartered status preferred.
