We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to work within our Construction and Disputes team in Doha.

The purpose of the role is to assist lawyers and client teams in their provision of legal advice and meeting the business needs of the client. The Paralegal will be responsible for drafting and preparing documents, the management of documents and management of the client reporting systems. Why this role?

Our Doha office is a close-knit group working seamlessly with colleagues across Dubai, Riyadh, and our international network. You’ll benefit from exceptional training, one-to-one career development, early responsibility, and the opportunity to cultivate strong client relationships.

By joining our dynamic and growing Doha team, you’ll be able to:

  • Collaborate with first-class regional specialists on high-value, technically complex disputes
  • Work with a team that has been consistently recognised across leading legal directories and industry awards for excellence in litigation, arbitration, and sector expertise.
  • Be involved in major construction and energy disputes across Qatar and the wider GCC, advising clients on litigation, arbitration, project counsel matters, and dispute resolution throughout the project lifecycle

What we’re looking for

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • At least two years’ experience as a Paralegal or Legal Executive, with a focus on dispute resolution and a good understanding of the Qatar legal framework.
  • Fluency in Arabic.
  • Experience managing the day-to-day activities of a paralegal team, including allocating work, monitoring capacity and overseeing the quality of the team’s output.
  • The ability to supervise, develop and support team members through ongoing training, objective setting, reviews and appraisals.
  • A collaborative approach, with the confidence to build strong relationships with fee earners, promote effective use of the paralegal team and respond constructively to feedback.
  • Experience developing and improving systems and processes to deliver an efficient, flexible and high-quality service.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with lawyers and clients, provide clear updates on matter progress and promptly escalate any issues.
  • Experience overseeing litigation processes and ensuring lawyers are kept informed of developments across their matters.
  • Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the flexibility to provide wider administrative and ad hoc support when required.
  • A proactive, self-motivated and team-focused approach, together with a strong commitment to delivering excellent client service and positive outcomes.

What we offer

  • The chance to work on leading construction, engineering, and infrastructure matters
  • A structured development programme with real opportunities for progression
  • A culturally diverse, international working environment
  • High-quality, intellectually stimulating dispute work in a rapidly developing region
