We are looking for an experienced Senior Paralegal to provide high-level legal and administrative support to an Australian legal practice.

The role will work closely with the firm's lawyers, partners, and Practice Manager, supporting the preparation and management of legal matters, documentation, research, correspondence, and day-to-day case administration.

The ideal candidate is highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident handling sensitive legal information. Australian legal experience is highly advantageous but not essential. Candidates with strong paralegal experience in other legal jurisdictions are encouraged to apply.

  • Assist with case preparation, including compiling relevant documents and information
  • Maintain accurate matter records, calendars, deadlines, and follow-ups

  • Coordinate with clients, lawyers, external parties, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor outstanding documents, information, and action items
  • Assist with client onboarding and matter opening processes
  • Support lawyers with document review, discovery, and file organisation where required
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and case information at all times
  • Ensure legal files and documentation are organised and maintained according to internal procedures
  • Assist with general legal practice administration and other tasks that support the smooth running of the firm
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative and document management processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field
  • 4–6+ years of relevant paralegal or legal support experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting lawyers, partners, or senior legal professionals
  • Strong understanding of legal documentation and case/matter administration
  • Excellent document preparation and proofreading skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or missing information
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential client information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook

Highly Desirable

  • Previous experience supporting an Australian law firm or legal practice
  • Familiarity with Australian legal terminology, processes, and documentation
  • Experience in areas such as family law, commercial law, litigation, property, migration, or other relevant legal practice areas
  • Experience with legal practice management or document management systems
  • Experience working directly with Australian lawyers, Partners, or Practice Managers
  • Strong legal research skills
  • Experience working in an offshore legal support environment

What We’re Looking For
