Responsibilities

Job Summary: Advise on organization design projects related to organization structure, organizational change, organization transformation, and overall organization effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Sets enterprise‑level direction for organizational effectiveness and organization design, translating broad business outcomes into multi‑year strategies, operating models, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Serves as a strategic advisor to senior and executive leadership, influencing decisions on organization structure, transformation, operating model redesign, and enterprise effectiveness.
  • Leads the most complex, high‑impact organizational design and transformation initiatives with long‑term implications for business performance.
  • Defines and evolves org effectiveness methodologies, frameworks, standards, and delivery models to ensure scalability, consistency, and sustained impact.
  • Anticipates enterprise trends, organizational risks, and system‑level constraints; proactively advises leaders on tradeoffs, implications, and strategic options.
  • Sponsors and oversees large programs and multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring outcomes align with enterprise priorities and measurable performance improvements.
  • Navigates complex stakeholder dynamics across functions and leadership levels, facilitating decision forums and aligning executives on critical design choices.
  • Translates complex qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, compelling recommendations that drive enterprise‑wide change.
  • Oversees and integrates work delivered by internal teams and external partners, ensuring quality, coherence, and business relevance.
  • Coaches and develops senior advisors and project leaders, building organizational capability and succession in org effectiveness expertise.
  • Establishes and leverages formal networks across the enterprise to embed org effectiveness practices into core business processes.
  • Measures long‑term effectiveness of organizational changes and continuously refines strategies to support evolving business needs.

Qualifications & Key Requirements:

Expert individual contributor in a professional role. Receives direction in the form of broad outcomes and is expected to define project objectives and own results. Recognized master who works on novel challenges, translating complex business and technical needs into objectives, plans, specifications, resources, short-term (1-3 years) strategic objectives, and long-term goals. Majority of time is spent developing and implementing new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans. Performance has a long-term effect on the company's success.

Coaches, directs, oversees, and/or reviews the work of lower-level professionals.

Strategic advisor to senior leadership, consulting on solutions and strategic implementation of new initiatives with far-reaching impacts. Creates formal networks across the organization.

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of related experience, preferably in organization change / design, consulting

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • 7+ years of experience in organizational effectiveness, organizational design, workforce planning, management consulting, HR strategy, or organizational transformation
  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational assessments, restructures, operating model design, or workforce strategy engagements
  • Experience developing organizational design recommendations supported by quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Proven ability to build business cases incorporating headcount, organizational structure, productivity, and financial impacts
  • Experience influencing senior leaders and executives through complex organizational decisions
  • Strong facilitation skills with experience leading workshops, alignment sessions, and executive discussions
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex information into actionable executive recommendations
  • Demonstrated ownership of projects from diagnosis through implementation
  • Experience within large-scale, multi-site organizations
  • Advanced workforce analytics and financial modeling capabilities
  • Experience partnering directly with executive leadership teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, Management, or related field
  • Preferred master’s degree in I/O Psychology, Organizational Development, MBA, or related discipline

  • Function in a fast-paced, office environment
  • Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
  • Work extended hours; sit for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift 20 lbs or more
