About Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor Supply, you will be a key interface between Plant Operations and other internal and external stakeholders, including review and issuing of PASS applications, project activities and oversight of contractors onsite.

This role is responsible for:

  • Operating, monitoring and optimising the water treatment processes (under limited supervision) and maintain specified outcomes as outlined in the HACCP plans, environmental licence conditions by applying your high level knowledge, experience and judgement to ensure water treatment design performance is maintained and establish the most optimal chemical doses and process variables using the SCADA system.
  • Resolving or participating in the timely resolution of treatment plant problems and issues of assigned water treatment facilities, that will impact on plant output or performance which may be of a complex nature.
  • Undertaking a range of administrative activities to support plant operations including but not limited to compiling, review and analysis of plant data to identify issues and opportunities for improvement; development, review and modification of work instructions and plant procedures, procurement and stock monitoring activities, reviewing commissioning plans and needs analyses, and development and/or contribution to reports, business cases, scope of works and other business information as required.
  • Providing high level support to internal and external service providers in their delivery of maintenance, planning, project delivery and breakdown resolution to ensure appropriate delivery of projects, and continuity of Plant operations.

Hours and Locations

This role will be part of team that works on a roster including weekends, public holidays and some on-call work (shift allowances apply).

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Certificate III in Water Industry Operations.
  • Certificate IV in Water Industry Operations or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Possess an Unrestricted C Class Driver’s Licence for manual vehicle.
  • Successful completion of a supervisory training or qualification (e.g. Frontline Leadership or supervisory course) highly regarded.
  • Advanced knowledge and application of Legislation and Frameworks applicable to Potable Water Treatment Plant Operations including but not limited to HACCP, NHMRC and ADWG.

This position has a competitive salary of $99,264 - $116,451 (dependant on experience) and is a full time, permanent opportunity. Shift allowances and overtime may apply.
