OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

• To monitor conveyor belt operations and remove foreign materials from the feed to prevent chute blockages and support the effective functioning of the crushing circuit.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Monitor conveyor belts and inspect discharge and receiving chutes to support safe and effective operations.
• Report conveyor belt deviations, including roller issues, to the supervisor and control room operator, and record deviations in the daily logbook.
• Inspect dust suppression systems and complete working area inspections and checklists.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Take hourly CVR-12 weight meter readings for the control operator.
• Monitor primary crusher shaft position for appropriate feed size and remove metals trapped by the metal detector and trap magnet.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

• O’ level, A’ level, Middle School Leaving Certificate, HND, SSCE or equivalent.
• Computer literate.

Experience

• 1-3 years’ experience in a crushing plant.

Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to operate SCADA or PLC-based systems.
• Ability to monitor alarms, trends, and plant performance.
• Ability to adjust parameters remotely for optimal efficiency.
• Ability to respond quickly to system warnings.
• Strong reliability and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safe work practices and effective teamwork.
