About the Role

Are you passionate about driving operational excellence, strategic execution, and transformation in a dynamic global technology environment? Join us as our new Senior Operations Specialist / Manager and play a key role in shaping the future of Data & Technology Finance (D&T Finance).

In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to the D&T Finance leadership team, helping strengthen the division’s operating model, improve transparency, and ensure disciplined execution of strategic priorities. You will connect strategy, workforce planning, financial objectives, governance, and operational delivery to enable effective decision-making and measurable business outcomes.

Your role and responsibilities include:

  • Drive divisional operations in alignment with Data & Technology strategic priorities, financial objectives, and business outcomes.

  • Develop executive-level insights, management reporting, presentations, and workforce analytics to enable informed leadership decisions.

  • Lead strategic workforce planning and capacity management, ensuring alignment between demand, skills, resources, and financial targets.

  • Drive operational excellence through simplification, standardization, process improvement, and increased transparency across key operational processes.

  • Ensure adherence to governance, risk, and control frameworks, while proactively identifying opportunities to strengthen operational discipline.

  • Own and coordinate the divisional Objectives & Key Results (OKR) governance cycle, including quarterly planning, performance reviews, and follow-up actions.

  • Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for operational matters for the leadership team, the division, and senior stakeholders.

  • Lead and coordinate divisional transformation initiatives, organizational change efforts, and cross-functional priorities to deliver strategic outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to directly influence strategic priorities and drive operational excellence across the division.

About the Team

We are the central D&T Finance Office, currently a team of four, embedded within a larger Tech Division of approximately 400 internal employees delivering technology capabilities for Swiss Re’s Finance function As a globally present team, you will collaborate with colleagues across locations and time zones. We are responsible for strategic and financial oversight, communication strategy and execution, and key operational processes across the division.

About You

  • Strategic and forward-thinking professional with a strong delivery mindset, high energy, and the ability to translate strategy into results.

  • Extensive experience in operations management, project management, consulting, strategy execution, or a related field (typically 8+ years), ideally within a complex global organization.

  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage, challenge, and collaborate with senior leaders.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, drive organizational change, and deliver operational improvements.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience translating workforce, financial, and operational data into executive-level insights, recommendations, and decisions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Loop, with the ability to create impactful management reports and executive presentations.

  • Passion for innovation and emerging technologies, with practical interest in AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity, insight generation, and business outcomes.

  • Ability to balance strategic priorities and operational execution in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and act as a sparring partner to senior leadership on operational, organizational, and strategic matters.

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2,900 and EUR 4,800 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.​

Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
