Job Description

The Senior Operations Manager will lead and oversee operational excellence for GE Vernova’s Gas Turbine Projects Division. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective execution of global gas turbine projects including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, installation, and commissioning while driving operational efficiency, cost competitiveness, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader in large-scale industrial project operations who can balance day-to-day project execution with long-term strategic initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction, profitability, and operational agility amidst demand growth in the marketplace.

Operational Management

  • Oversee the operating rhythm across the Gas Turbine Projects Division, ensuring project execution aligns with contractual obligations and business objectives.
  • Own operational KPIs, forecasts, and productivity initiatives — using data to identify barriers, drive governance and reporting, and lead cross-functional resolution on critical challenges.
  • Drive productivity improvements, cost reduction programs, and working capital optimization.

Leadership & Development

  • Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing accountability, safety, quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop future operations leaders through coaching, training, and succession planning.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial, HSE, Quality) to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Serve as the operational point of contact for customers — maintaining strong relationships, clear communication, and aligned expectations.
  • Collaborate with GE Vernova leadership, regional offices, and external partners to drive divisional success.

Risk, Compliance & Safety

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks across the division's project portfolio.
  • Implement and enforce GE Vernova's EHS standards across all operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with international trade, export control, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Min. 8 years of experience in operations management or large-scale industrial operations leadership within the power generation, or heavy equipment sectors.

Preferred Experiences

  • Prior experience in gas turbine technology, EPC project execution, and field services operations required.
  • Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed, cross-cultural teams.
  • Financial acumen including P&L knowledge, budgets, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience preferred.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $132,200.00 and $220,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
