Job Category: OperationsThe Senior Operations Integration Associate, Portfolio Data is a key contributor to the successful onboarding of new partner firms onto the EP Wealth platform, with a dedicated focus on portfolio accounting systems. This role leads and supports the transition of partner firm portfolio data and workflows into EP’s environment, ensuring client accounts, investments, billing, and historical performance are accurate, complete, and aligned with EP standards.
The Sr. Associate serves as a primary liaison to newly acquired partner firms while collaborating closely with internal Partnership Integration, Operations, Billing, & Technology teams, along with external vendors, to deliver a seamless integration experience and consistent operational excellence across the firm.
- Lead and support end-to-end operational integration for acquired and partner firms as it relates to portfolio accounting systems, ensuring alignment with EP standards, systems, and strategic objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partner firms on portfolio data topics, learning legacy workflows and translating them into EP’s standardized setup and operating model.
- Coordinate the onboarding and configuration of data within EP’s portfolio accounting systems, including client accounts, households, investments, billing groups & client portals.
- Responsible for the success of historical performance conversions, including mapping, validation, and exception resolution to ensure continuity and accuracy of client performance reporting.
- Audit and validate converted data for completeness and accuracy, partnering with internal teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies.
- Partner closely with vendors (e.g., Tamarac, GeoWealth) to execute integration deliverables; track progress, clarify requirements, and hold vendors accountable to timelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Partnership Integration, Operations, Billing, Compliance, and Technology teams to coordinate dependencies, manage issues, and ensure smooth cutover planning and execution.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system & data issues (custodian feeds, imports, mappings, reporting outputs), escalating as appropriate and driving issues to resolution.
- Develop, refine, and scale repeatable integration workflows, templates, and best practices to improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across future integrations.
- Support post-integration stabilization, including training/enablement for partner firm users (as needed), post-conversion audits, and documentation of final setup decisions.
- Research and resolve routine to complex operational issues, escalating as appropriate.
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives, system integrations, and operational projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in wealth management operations with direct experience in portfolio accounting systems and/or performance reporting; M&A integration experience strongly preferred.
- Hands-on familiarity with portfolio accounting systems such as Tamarac, Orion, Black Diamond, or GeoWealth
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with demonstrated ability to audit complex datasets and reconcile exceptions.
- Strong project execution skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent integrations under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort working directly with partner firms, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger processes.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services, wealth management, investment banking, or asset management processes, with a clear understanding of regulatory and operational requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with performance conversion processes (history mapping, benchmark alignment, composite/report validation, and exception management).
- Familiarity with related wealth tech ecosystem tools (e.g., Salesforce, eMoney, client portals, billing systems, document systems)
- Experience partnering with external vendors on scoped deliverables, quality assurance, and timeline management.
- Experience with project tracking tools (e.g., Monday.com) and process documentation.
- Understanding of compliance, regulatory, and operational in a registered investment advisory environment
