Job Description

Paymentology is the first truly global issuer-processor, giving banks and fintechs the technology, team and experience to rapidly issue and process Mastercard, Visa and UnionPay cards across more than 60 countries, at scale. Our advanced, multi-cloud platform, offering both shared and dedicated processing instances, vast global presence and richer, real-time data, set us apart as the leader in payments.

This role owns operational analytics and reporting across the COO’s organisation, providing critical insights that drive visibility, accountability, and efficiency across Operations. You will translate complex operational data into intuitive dashboards, automated reports, and actionable recommendations that support decision-making at all levels.

Partnering closely with Data Engineering, you will help close data gaps, improve data quality, and build scalable reporting foundations to support the growth of a fast-scaling fintech.

What you get to do:

· Query and model data with SQL; build insightful dashboards and reports in Metabase/QuickSight that track operational performance and SLAs.

· Define data requirements with data engineering/analytics; identify and close data quality and availability gaps affecting Ops decision-making.

· Design reporting structures and metrics that scale with business growth, enabling consistent performance tracking and accountability across the Ops group.

· Spot and size process-improvement and automation opportunities; pilot low-code/AI solutions to streamline reporting and accelerate insights.

· Serve as the COO’s analytical partner: produce actionable insights, recommendations, and narratives for leadership forums and initiative reviews.

· Act as a deputy to help drive COO-led improvement initiatives; track milestones, risks, and outcomes for key Ops projects.

· 2-3 days hybrid requirement for this position in the Oslo office

Requirements

What it takes to succeed:

· 4+ years in data analytics (fintech/banking/FS preferred).

· Strong SQL; hands-on with Metabase or QuickSight (or similar modern BI).

· Proven partnership with engineering to define data requirements and ensure analytical accuracy; understanding of data modelling for long-term usability.

· Exposure to AI/low-code for reporting automation; excellent communication and stakeholder management.

· Profile matches IC4 expectations for senior ICs delivering significant projects and mentoring informally.

What you can look forward to:

At Paymentology we value making a difference to the lives of the people who work for us and who live in the communities where we operate. You can look forward to working with a diverse, global team where Paymentologists at all levels play an important part in our global mission to advance the world through payments and make a difference on a global scale.
