The Opportunity
We arelookingfora SeniorOperations Engineerto join theTechnical Operationsteam at Sysco LABS.
Responsibilities:
Monitor &MaintainOversee ingapplication platforms and cloud infrastructureensuringoptimalperformance, availability, and reliabilityacross environments
Proactive Issue Detection:Implementingandmaintainingmonitoringand loggingto detect anomalies and minimize service disruptions
Reactive Support & Troubleshooting:Provid ingproduction supportincludingAPI-level troubleshooting, log analysis, and resolving both technical and end-user issues within definedSLA commitments
Collaboration & Incident Management:Work ingclosely withengineering, infrastructure, and incident response teamsto ensure swift and effective issue resolution
Incident Analysis & Problem Management:Conductingpost-incident reviews, documentingtroubleshooting runbooks, and contributingto proactive problem prevention through process improvements and knowledge-sharing
Automation & Scripting:Develop ingandmaintainingPython and Shell scriptsto automate operational tasks, infrastructure checks, and deployment processes
Cloud Optimization & Scaling:Manag ing,optimizing, and scalingservices onAWS and GCP,ensuring efficient usage of cloud resources and cost-effectiveness
Database Support:Execut ingandoptimizingqueries inOracle andPostgreSQLfor monitoring data integrity, issue diagnosis, and supportinganalytics needs
24/7 Operational Support:Participatingin aroster-based support model, delivering round-the-clock operational coverage to meet business-critical SLAs
Requirements:
ABachelor’sDegree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
3–4 years of experience in technical supportorsystems administration
Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, or equivalent platforms
Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP cloud environments, particularly in managing ECS,EKSand EC2 workloads
Experience in UNIX/Linux environments; ability to perform system-level diagnostics and support
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar
Proficiencyin API-level troubleshooting and analyzing system-level logs and integrations
A solid understanding ofOracle and PostgreSQLwith the ability to write andoptimizequeries for data analysis and issue resolution
Experience withPython orShell scripting for automation and operational efficiency
Experienceinnetwork troubleshooting: LAN/WAN, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls, and Routing
A strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, driven by a passion for learning, optimization, and automation
An excellent command of English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
