Job Title - Senior Operations Engineer
Our client is building a modern cross-border payments and financial infrastructure platform (exchange, clearing, messaging, digital currency) for banks and financial institutions. We are looking for a Senior IT Operations Engineer to run production upgrades, supervise and maintain our production environments and infrastructure, and act as L2 support for sustaining operations.
Profile summary
* 5+ years of experience in IT operations / production operations / SRE roles
* Strong experience running and coordinating production upgrades, deployments, and maintenance windows
* Hands-on experience administering Linux-based environments (installation, configuration, hardening, troubleshooting)
* Good understanding of networking basics (DNS, load balancers, firewalls, VPN, TLS certificates)
* Experience managing and monitoring production infrastructure (VMs/instances, containers, storage, databases, message brokers)
* Familiar with major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and infrastructure tooling
* Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or similar)
* Comfortable writing simple scripts/automation (Bash, Python, or similar) to streamline operational tasks
* Strong incident response skills: triage, escalation, communication, and post-incident follow-up
* Acts as L2 support for production issues: reproducing problems, collecting diagnostics, working with developers to drive resolution, and documenting workarounds
* Familiar with change management, release management, and production governance processes
* Bonus: experience in fintech/payments, high-availability systems, or regulated environments
Engagement
* Typically a full-time role focused on production operations, upgrades, and sustaining support for the Xabeta platform
Languages and location
* Fluent English is a must (written and spoken)
* Location: strong preference for UAE, Dubai, with flexibility for remote candidates who are highly qualified
