Job Description

Partnerships for Parks (PfP) is a joint program of NYC Parks and City Parks Foundation (CPF). PfP supports and champions a growing network of leaders caring and advocating for neighborhood parks and green spaces. We equip people, organizations and governments with the skills and tools they need to ensure these spaces are dynamic community assets.

Major Responsibilities

- Under the supervision of the Deputy Director, manage a portfolio of PfP projects which includes communication, administration, data and reporting, financial management, and special projects.
- Assist with the implementation of initiatives. Develop processes and standard operating procedures.
- Serve as a central point of coordination for funding proposals and reports. Create content. Collect and compile stats, information, and narrative from data and evaluation coordinator and program directors.
- Create and compile PfP’s monthly report and other reports as directed.
- Ensure communication is comprehensive, accurate, engaging, and appropriate.
- Support deputy director in setting up and preparing for meetings. Create and contribute to presentations.
- Contribute to organizational and strategic planning, communication management, and program implementation and evaluation.
- Engage and coordinate with NYC Parks and CPF leadership and staff.
- Represent PfP in internal and external meetings, events and conferences.
- Lead and participate in priority events and projects as directed, including on nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
